When you donate to the Friends of the Allentown Parks Green Fund, your contribution is pooled with others to maximize impact across all Allentown parks. Our parks department carefully selects and purchases plants, trees, and landscaping materials each spring based on:

Donation in Memory or Honor
We understand that supporting our parks can be a meaningful way to remember a loved one or honor someone special in your life. While we welcome donations made in memory or in honor of others, please note that individual names are not placed on planted items. Instead, your contribution becomes part of the collective effort to create beautiful, thriving green spaces that benefit the entire community.
All memorial and honorary donations are acknowledged appropriately, and the Friends of the Allentown Parks will start to maintains records of these special contributions for internal recognition purposes.
Spring Planting Program
All donated funds are utilized during our annual spring planting season when weather conditions are optimal for new plantings to establish and thrive. The parks department works year-round to plan, design, and prepare for each spring's beautification efforts, ensuring that every dollar donated achieves maximum impact.
