One of the jewels of the Allentown Park system, Trexler Park is located off of Springhouse Rd. in Allentown, Pa. Little Cedar Creek flows through the park to create a central pond. The park was created by a bequest of some 144 acres from his summer estate, Springwood Park, Gen. Harry Trexler gave us Trexler Park, which features a masterful equestrian statue of the founder of the Allentown park system. It's a great place to walk, ride your bike, or enjoy wide open green space.

Lehigh Parkway is a large, 629-acre public park along the Little Lehigh Creek, this park we also owe to General Trexler. He owned the land on which the Lehigh Parkway exists today. The park features many scenic exercising trails in addition to bridle paths, a shooting range, and many fishing locations. The park includes the Lil-Le-Hi Trout Nursery, which hatches over 30,000 mature trout each year. The Museum of Indian Culture is located in the parkway.

The Li'l-Le-Hi Trout Nursery is located south of downtown Allentown on the edge of the Lehigh Parkway, just down the road from the Museum of Indian Culture. It's quite close to the Lehigh Parkway, which connects via paved pathways. The fish hatchery is one of the country's oldest continually operated trout nurseries, having been open along the banks of the Little Lehigh Creek since 1883. In the past, this nursery was even larger in size and has been operated by both the state and private individuals.
